The Investors Dialogue on Energy will host its tenth webinar on the topic of the Hydrogen Mechanism.
The Commission will soon launch the Hydrogen Mechanism to support market development of hydrogen, under the European Hydrogen Bank. The main objective of the Mechanism is to accelerate hydrogen market creation to support the industrial and transport decarbonisation.
In practice, it will take the form of an online platform bringing together buyers and sellers and enabling market participants to share information (including about financial opportunities) and find potential commercial partners. The Hydrogen Mechanism is not limited to hydrogen but will also cover derivatives (ammonia, methanol and electro-Sustainable Aviation Fuels). As it is a fairly flexible system, it will be developed and amended based on users feedback and market needs.
During this webinar, the Commission will present the Hydrogen Mechanism, including a preview of the platform’s prototype and some of its features. The webinar will also include questions and answers.
The Investors Dialogue on Energy (ID-E) is a multi-level stakeholder platform that brings together experts from the energy and finance sectors in all EU countries. Their aim is to assess and upgrade financing schemes to mobilise financing in the context of the European Green Deal and REPowerEU.
